Solve for X brings private capital to the environmental fight.  The model uses tools from the for-profit realm to discover environmental innovators and mitigate risks in their new technologies, which can lower the cost of required financial capital from VC rates to PE levels: 

1. Solve for X Impact Corporation is a 501{c}3 that funds and supports environmental innovators; we steward grants to 'de-risk' new technology.  
2. Solve for X, L3C is a 'low profit limited liability company' and registered Social Enterprise; we assist commercialization of viable new technologies that emerge from the R&D phase.
3. Program Related Investments deploy and recoup assets in compliance with the IRS '5% Rule'.
4. Impact Investments of assets above the 5% threshold yield ROIs while furthering the foundation's mission.
